Alvin Historical Train Depot

Location(s):

Step back in time at the Alvin Historical Train Depot, a more than 100-year-old landmark that once served as the hub of local business and agriculture along the Santa Fe Rail Line. Originally built in 1907, the depot has been thoughtfully renovated inside and out while preserving its historic charm.

Today, the Historical Train Depot and Clock Tower grounds are available for event rentals and sit adjacent to National Oak Park, an inviting 8-acre green space. The park features the Rotary Pavilion (40′ x 80′), the iconic National Oak Tree, the starting point of the Hike & Bike Trail, seven additional covered pavilions with picnic tables, a playground, swing set, and drinking fountains—making it a versatile and scenic setting for gatherings and outdoor enjoyment.
